The Adoption Journey

What does your Cavalier Life look like?

Maybe it’s morning walks and weekend adventures. Maybe it’s a warm little body tucked beside you on the sofa. A constant companion while you work from home. A family dog growing up alongside your children. Perhaps you have dreams of obedience, therapy work, or another dog sport—or maybe your greatest ambition is simply to never go to the bathroom alone again.

There isn’t one right way to live your Cavalier Life. What matters is finding a puppy whose personality fits naturally into yours.

That’s why our adoption process begins by getting to know you. Tell us about your home, your family, the rhythm of your days, and the things you imagine doing together. Ask us questions, too—about our dogs, health and genetics, upcoming litters, or anything else that matters to you.

As the puppies grow and their personalities begin to emerge, we get to know them just as we’ve gotten to know you. That helps us make thoughtful matches based not simply on color or gender, but on the puppy who has the best chance of becoming the companion you imagined.

And Gotcha Day isn’t the end of the Junebug journey. We’re here as your puppy grows—for questions, celebrations, worries, funny stories, and all the adventures that come next.

As their individual personalities begin to emerge, we thoughtfully match puppies with their families based on temperament, structure, and what each family is hoping for. Puppy assignments are generally made around 6–7 weeks.
